Well, this is it....Christmas week! So just a quick note to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and peaceful New Year from all at NZ Weather. If you want to find out what is in store for you weather-wise on Christmas Day itself - the link is at http://www.nzweather...stmas-day-2009/
I'm not sure what is on your Christmas list this year, but I thought I would upgrade NZ Weather to give you some new features to investigate over the holiday season. You can find out about the new gallery features, the latest blog additions as well as the exciting new chat facility at http://www.nzweather...-on-nz-weather/
If you are into storm chasing, then that's an area I am keen to expand on NZ Weather. The tracker is calibrated every time there is a storm and you can access it at http://www.nzweather.net/storm.html. The tracker is based in Canterbury, but has a good range due to its height and outdoor location. December thunderstorm discussion, for the whole of the country is at http://www.nzweather...-december-2009/ I'd love to hear your contributions, pictures and videos.
A reminder also, that our competition is in its final few weeks. Its free to enter and you have a great chance to win an exciting colour book based on New Zealand's weather. Further information on that one is at http://www.nzweather...athersouth.html
I'd also like to get an idea of what "floats your boat" when it comes to discussing the weather. Please consider, letting me know in the members lounge topic at http://www.nzweather...ut-the-weather/ where feedback is welcomed at all levels.
Finally, please stay safe and have a great holiday season
