Just as we in the Sth Waikato can have Sou-East winds in the morning and overnight, but from 11am through to 8pm, the advective winds due to convective activity, bring the winds in from the nor-west AND THEN SW
Oh bother, I can't see it at all even, when I am editing, so excuse the keyboard slip with the Caps lock key.

Yes NW winds are good here,not very often unfortunately,you know here when theyre SE as they hardly blow.SW are far the worst,it howls anytime especially the daytime if extrmely heavy it whistles and buckles the windows that face that direction,in winter condensates the windows in the day,showers are usualy just boring and worst all the pine needles fly like arrows over the house,all the gardens,whats left of the cabbage tree,leaves like driftwood.Its always a constant speed when its not gusting.SSW arnt far behind nor WSW.
I enjoy a good NE it clears everything up though in autumn it brings leaves down but at least its only a couple of months.
