Cancelling Email Alerts

I Unticked the email alerts from the auto subscribed threads, but stil want the Moderators or personal message email alerts, but I still keep getting a lot of email alerts esp of new threads or postings on old threads I had just browsed and not posted on. It does not seem to be working.

From your userCP, view all subscribed threads (on the right) and cancel the currently active ones in that list

I can't post a png image of the question I am asking - the function I have changed should work. I want to decide which i want to watch and I should not have 24 emails when I arrive - the function in Edit Options - Default Subscription Mode - selected [No Email Notification] should override any other desire to send notifications. I am happy to see a list in my CP of replied to threads, but none emailed thanks.

I think that what is happening is this.

You have selected "no email notification" in your usercp for new threads
Exisiting threads will still have the default "Instant email notification", so you need to change this status for the existing threads in your list of subscribed threads http://www.nzweather.net/forum/subscription.php

Ok - that has helped - If all else fails, read the manual!!
