Re: Sydney's Weather

Did you not say "I can't have it all" recently?

There isn't any (bar Monday) rain expected for us for the rest of July, August atm by current models is looking to be a wet month - time will tell.

Haven't seen your banana pics yet - quite busy at the moment. Will do later when have free time.

Re: Sydney's Weather

What sort of weather would be expected in Sydney around the beginning of September?

Re: Sydney's Weather

(Yesterday) Friday: Blue dome skies & sunny with strong to gusty icy cold westerlies, low of 9oC and high of 16oC. The cold in the wind was quite outstanding in the fact that I had to wear 3 t-shirts, jumper and jacket along with 3 pairs of socks, scarf, woolen hat and gloves! That wind certainly sliced through me like a razor.

Currently 6oC sunny with some high cloud & light winds , low dropped to 5oC earlier, it's certainly freezing outside atm.

I know the feeling! We've had heaps of rain, so it is now mild.

Re: Sydney's Weather

Rest of Saturday 12th: High cloud increased & thickened after 3pm. Cold with light to moderate winds. Low of 5oC and high of 15oC.

Yesterday: Overcast & cold with light to moderate breezes. Low of 7oC and high of 17oC.

Today: Cloudy morning, sunny/blue dome sky afternoon. Temps were cool in the morning under the cloud, when cloud cleared & sun came out after midday the max temp in the city rose to 23.1oC (Not a record though, highest max July-wise was 25.9oC in 1990) after a low of 10. Winds were very light to calm. Airport: 9/22.

Such a nice afternoon & warm in the sun during the afternoon today, managed to spend my lunch hour in the park in the sun. What's made the past few days ever better was that there has been no strong winds . Currently 20oC, no wind at Bondi, got all the windows open - a really nice and mild evening

Re: Sydney's Weather

Hello all . Now that the WYD festival is over - taken a A/L day for today to recover from it

Weather during the past 7 days has been very stable - cold nights, cool days, moderate to fresh winds & plenty of sun but with visible high cloud (thick at times) on some days. Mins of 8oC & 18oc in city, lower in suburbs.

Plenty of pilgrims staying at the church next door to my work & everywhere else complained endlessly about the cold especially at night, some said it was freezing with some complaining of frozen hands & feet, but loved the sunshine, some said they were so impressed with our abundance of sunshine especially for a winter month - if only they knew the truth

Totally overcast yesterday but bright, not dark due to thick high cloud & had some rain last night with falls up to 6mm across the MA.

20 mm & 129 hrs MTD

Today - the icy cold SW retuned with a vengeance thus spoiling the sunny & clear day. Low of 10 & max of 17.

Looks like the run of sunny & dry weather will come to an end from mid week onwards.

Re: Sydney's Weather

A bit nippy in some places there, I see! How often, do you know, does most of Sydney ever get a frost?
