| Very hot in parts of South America I spent 23 days in Rio and points north recently. While it has been cold in Argentina and some other countries, Brazil from about Rio north has been having much above average temps. in many places. The Brasilia area was running about 2C-8C above normal throughout the time I was in the country. Rio was hitting 31-32C on the last couple of days, and the wellknown (to Brazilians) country's hotspot of Teresina was pushing 36-38C as it usually does. The weather I experienced was near-perfect for me and coming back to NZ is of course a shock. |
