Since that loser kid who calls himself an "admin" on NZ weather forums has IP banned me for no reason (literally!!!), I'll post here:
well a decent heatwave has established itself across the SE of Australia, with a straight week 30ºC+ temps recorded so far across most of the inland. Temps are expected to reach 40ºC on Tuesday in places such as Mildura and Renmark while the rest of Vic can expect mid-high 30s. Progs suggest about 38-40ºC for Melbourne.
Today reached 29.3ºC in Melbourne City thanks to a seabreeze but most inland suburbs (including where I live) recorded 33-34ºC. Interestly, the seaside suburb of Frankston was lingering on around 18ºC all day but the temp there suddenly jumped to 31ºC in the space of an hour.
