It was quite an interesting month - Michael Fish said that the first 10 days of the month (when the daytime temp. was 20+C) broke the record for the warmest May just on their own

I see what you mean about the sunshine hours in the north and west!

Its certainly been topsy turvey again this year with a north/south divide in reverse. If I remember correctly a similar situation happened last year with our Scottish members gloating about sunshine while we were suffereing torrential rain and floods.

....all due to the unusual position of the jet stream

Oh dear, if it's similar to last year does that mean a washout of a summer?
