Thats a shame. There are a number of photos that usually go around that are from a pro photographer and are passed off as belonging to other people. When I first saw it I wondered if it was his, but could not remember this name.

I found some more info now. It seems the picture IS REAL and of a mesocyclone wall cloud, rather than a tornado. It was taken before the Blencoe tornado mentioned in this thread though, from a village called Orchard.

I think its still a nice foreground picture put over the top of a real at the time background picture
for good dramatic effect
as the scale look to be out of proportion
a real weather person would have moved so as to get away from the foreground objects blocking the view of the action!

True indeed, but thats assuming the lady quoted as taking it (Lori Mehmen) has a weather interest. If she was a photographer, she may have chosen to use the buildings to add scale. However, if she was neither a photographer nor had a weather interest, she may just have been getting a shot off before taking cover, expecting to meet her doom

I can see both sides, beacuse its such an unusually presented shot.
