A wireless weather station is a weather instrument used to measure weather conditions in your immediate locality, where the micro climate will be different from that of the general area weather forecast. Measuring changes in barometric air pressure is still the predominant method of forecasting changes in the weather. Home weather stations with forecast functions will include a barometer, and typically measure temperature and relative humidity as well. Outdoor measurements are transmitted wirelessly to the indoor base receiver. Advanced digital weather stations will also include a rain gauge and anemometer to measure wind speed, plus the capacity to upload all measurements to a PC.
