I went to place an order. With some other things I wanted it would save me 2150 NZD. However you can only purchase the Davis equipment at that price if you live in US or Canada.

They indicated no issue when I emailed them to ensure that they could ship what I wanted to NZ, mind you I have not confirmed an order with them yet (her in doors who must be obeyed, has not said yes yet) so maybe the bad news comes then

You have already alluded to the issues wrt warranty and I have seen several posts in other forums about Provantage post sales support (or lack of). Not a problem if you are aware and go into it with your eyes open. There are other US vendors that will provide full after sales support and ship to NZ.
