Very cold day despite a few hours' sun. I can't report any record rainfalls for the last 14, 21, 30, 90 or 150 days, but the 5-month total pof 870mm for March-July inclusive is the highest since the mid-70s.

coldest morning here for years!
only 1.3oC here, a light frost
I see Ricky in central auckland has only 0.7oC at 7:30am!
that will be a record for him!

Similiar here at that time. We went the movies then off to our favourite Indian eatery and the air felt zippy, However, nothing like a couple of weekends ago when that storm was flowing through!
