| Re: Thunderstorm and convective reports 14th to 16th August 2008 It was fine in the Today's weather report Babs - thanks for setting that up too! When I saw it, I realised we needed a separate thread to catch anything storm related, Grant usually beats us to it so it is setup for the day. In Tokoroa overnight, some gusts to 55km/hr and about 20mm fell since 11pm. Baro dropped to 993hPa at 3:30am, remained basically steady since then and the winds have eased. No thunder activity noticed over night and no hail.

| Re: Thunderstorm and convective reports 14th to 16th August 2008 We finally got quite an impressive thunder storm last nigh (15th). We weren't affected but apparently some people lost power for a bit - no idea how long. |

| Re: Thunderstorm and convective reports 14th to 16th August 2008 Tokoroa Sat 16th - A sudden heavy hail shower came through at around 4:15pm this afternoon, very squally.
