'Sigh' you are so lucky weather-wise ATO2 as it is very cold here, 5 degrees at 6.30 am and it is still 5 degrees at 9.48 am with a wind chill factor of -1, winds from the south with a touch of polar air in them. Have the heater back on, warm clothes back on and wondering where the beginning of spring went too!!!!

Re: Weather reports for September 6th, 2008

Tokoroa: Light fog and a low cloud layer early on, overnight low of 7.3ºC but the cloud layer has risen and is thinning, the sun is trying to break through. The wind was NNW 12 hrs ago and gradually swung around to SW and 0 to 14km/hr. Temp now 9.6ºC and rising. Baro 1022.5hPa and rising.

It should be a nice day, some chores this morning and a minor job, then football this afternoon - final game - I'm sure the boys will be knocked out of the Cup as they are C Grade playing against better teams. Oh for a full day at home with sunshine - well lots of Saturdays!!

It is a nice here, bar the wind which is cold, but bearable because of the Sun.

Perfect Spring day in CHCH. 10.6C @ 12:10pm. Wind calm. Clear blue cloudless sky, borne out by my webcam http://icons.wunderground.com/webcam...jpg?1220659884.

Mount Hutt will be heaving with Christchurch skiers.

Well, it's remaining clear here. 13 degrees, 28km/hr SSE. Like you, we are supposed to get 2 degrees as our overnight low. Can't see how...

Blue skies now and a sun-filled afternoon.

No wind although we were shaken with an earthquake earlier.

Sunny, cool afternnoon in Chch.
Southerly over North Island apparently colder than originally forecast, with snowfall warnings (light though) out for Desert Rd and top of Rimutaka Rd early this morning.
