New Plymouth, 6.45am: 9 degrees, mostly clear, light SE.
TV forecast gave an overnight minimum of 3 and the Met Service estimated 6. Since it was 18 degrees yesterday, a diurnal range of up to 15 degrees would be uncommon for here.

The 3rd or 4th day in a row with fantastic clear blue skies from dawn till dusk, not a cloud in sight and lots of very warm sunshine. Temperatures have reached 27C here in Kent and there is still a pleasant and noticeable easterly breeze, which makes it feel nice in the shade. A pleasant evening to come with "t-shirt and shorts" weather typically. Currently 5.30pm
