Fog Re: Weather Reports, June 12th, 2008

I'll delete the pic image link - have a look at the two webcams in the page below, (not forcing you to see a full VGA pic)

The first one is the bright side - the cam on the other side is very dark almost foggy ...

Nothing too flash here either. Drizzle. Only about 14 degrees and had to light the fire to heat the house because there's no Sun and I still can't work much outside!

Re: Weather Reports, June 12th, 2008

Alternating drizzly showers and short bright periods here - not a typical northerly "drizzler". About 30km to the SE it would be clear I think. Not cold for June at all though.

I agree about the cold. So far the average daily max here is 15 degrees this month. Not very much above average but hardly cold for the time of the year!

Re: Weather Reports, June 12th, 2008

NZ does seem to be having very mild weather for this time than can be expected. Good for you guys after the coldest May in 16 years.

My brother in Invercargill said it was 15oC today, not only that previous days have been much milder than usual with very few days of maximums being below 10 degrees, however its been much cloudier which would concur with the milder temps. Plenty of rain/showers during the 1st week of this month. More mild weather to come as N-NW weather continues.

Is it true that it was 18 in Oamaru and 16 at Ashburton yet only 8 at Timaru? I'm wondering why is this as Timaru is between Oamaru and Ashburton?
