Post Weather reports for June 22nd, 2008

10am: New Plymouth, 15 degrees, steady, though light, rain, NEly around 25 km/h.
No beers on the verandah today, folks! I think we are having the sort of day that rainfan talks about in Sydney!
No sign of the predicted thunder!

Re: Weather reports for June 22nd, 2008

Light steady rain this morning, not much wind yet. Lovely yesterday afternoon - sun pouring into the lounge at my daughter's place - and my granddaughter's birthday party was quite peaceful.

Tokoroa:
Today started with strong (Subjectively!) winds - up to 53km/hr - and heavy rain as we woke up at 7:30 but stayed in bed til 9am! when the rain stopped. From 6:50 to 9am, in 130mins, we received 15.1mm, pretty steady rain. Today it restarted at midday with light rain. A steady 12.5ºC outside and 92%rH.

A steady NNE since 1am and baro still dropping - now at 1002.8hPa.

Looks a lot lower around Ashburton!!

Glad your granddaughter had a nice day for it.
Temperature fairly constant 15 degrees C here. Rain has dropped off and wind isn't much. Sun came out for a few moments around 1pm.

The rain is starting to really come down now (+4pm) Wind has cranked up a notch as well- varies from NNW to N to NNE, depending where you are around the coast.
