Low pressure system is continuing to deepen coming in from the south. Please post your pressure reports (and rates of fall if possible) for the 24nd June 2008

Mid NI reached a Low yesterday of 992 around 1:30pm, then has risen 5hPa to 997 and holding steady since 3am this morning.

Almost calm, ave 8km/hr, and temp flat 5~6ºC since 8pm last night.

Tokoroa 12:30 - Still steady on 997 or thereabouts but will rise after the front passes and the winds change direction, tending more westerly now and gusting to 35km/hr. Temp has risen 2deg to 9. LOL

Been reasonably steady most of the day. Low of 986.2mb at 7am but risen rapidly since 2pm and currently 992.1mb

Tokoroa - steady rise since 2pm when the front came through, baro had a dip to 996, and we also had the peak gust of 80km/hr about then. Was 996, now 1000.8. +2.8hPa in last 3hrs. Ave wind speed of 25.9, gusting to 42.4km/hr. Rain continues lightly but often with heavy drops... sleet perhaps? Temp still dropping from a high of 10.6 just prior to the max gust and now 4.1ºC seven hours later.

Pressure increasing steadily at around 1.3mb/hr. Pressure now 999.0mb
