That will be a neat photo, RWood. Varies here between bright sunshine and then a period of black, forboding stuff, then clear again.

Sunny now in Chch (but with quite alot of cloud still around), after morning thunder and hail, followed by sleety rain. Thick coating of hail at Chch Boys High where I work - just happeend to hit at morning interval; not suprisingly many boys indulged in 'hailball' fights.

Sounds like fun! Mountain is no clearer than before so no update. Wind at Cape Egmont has increased a little: still SW but 57 km/h and gusting to 86 km/h (2pm)

Tokoroa - still full cloud cover, rain finished about 11:30, wind is from 30km/hr gusting to 80km/hr.

Shot from the webcam...

looks pretty rugged! View NW with cloud coming in from the west.

Temp still only 9deg after 6ºC this morning.

No master Post icon for cloud...

Re: Weather Reports for the 24th June, 2008

We had several hours of blue sky and sunshine - I'm posting some pictures of the early morning clearance and afternoon deterioration. I went up Wright's Hill to catch the SSW arriveal, showers set in about 2.50 (5 minutes after last shot). Too many pictures, but I can't be bothered trying to sort out a best half dozen (realtively speaking!).

Some squally stuff around in late afternoon, early evening. Temperatures dropped down to around 6 degrees, from 11.

Cleared up in Chch - heading for a frost, but wind will probably pick up by dawn to quickly melt it away.
