Re: Weather reports, June 27th, 2008

Fine after a couple of showers before daylight. Fresh WNW which will drop away as flow goes back towards WSW. Sun total for month will be better than I expected yesterday - forecast a couple of days back had today cloudy and showery. MTD rainfall is only half average so far and the ground is not as soggy as it was at the end of May.

You are having better than me! Last 30 minutes have been heavy showers and some hail. Sky is partly clear, the clouds look sinister!

Rain Re: Weather reports, June 27th, 2008

Its been northerly here since 2am and will gradually turn to SW as this front passes over - heavy showers at the moment - that's an indication it will be changing soon. 19mm yesterday, 3.6mm already today :9:50am.

Temp low was about 7.5ºC this morning, 10.4ºC now, heading to around 12 as a max perhaps and then cooler again as the SW hits. Max gust since 9am is 25kts, max 1min ave = 20kts, and current average is 15kts at NNW.

Baro peaked at 1008 last night, now dropped to 998.5, steadily falling.

Re: Weather reports, June 27th, 2008

I was a bit optimistic - clouded over again midmorning though no precip. in the city, not sure about further north. Brightened again for a while, now a veil of high cloud has spread over us, at least in the southern parts.
