Post Weather reports for 29th June, 2008

OK- bit late today- anyway the day has been mostly calm, cool and dry with some Sun.
No sign of wind but looks like heaps of snow fell on the mountain.
Down the road in Wanganui, I understand it was quite unpleasant this morning - my brother informs me that a flight had to circle round for a while out to sea before landing. Yet in New Plymouth it was almost dead calm! Slight SEly has sprung up .

Re: Weather reports for 29th June, 2008

Thoroughly unpleasant SSE "old man" as predicted (though it won't have the 3-day life of the storms more common in the past). My property is sheltered from that quarter but it was pretty wet. This will imitate March and April in that half or more of the month's rain will have fallen in a couple of days near the end (raising the total from a modest 72mm to over 150 is my guess).

Re: Weather reports for 29th June, 2008

Another warm day. Cloudy to start, this broke with some clear skies this evening. Temps around 23C, brisk westerly wind made it feel pleasant enough. A lovely summers day really. Feels fresher now than it did last night
