New Plymouth: 6.30am : 13 degrees, clear, nice to see Orion rising in the eastern sky.

around 15 or 16 degrees all day. Solid rain for around 10 minutes just before noon. 6mm was recorded at the AWS in the hour before 12noon.

Hailing, as I write this.
The burst of rain we had b4 noon was quite something. My butcher comes from Christchurch and said to me, "you know, if we had that much rain like that in Christchurch, we would be putting out boats to row!"

Tokoroa: - from 14:50 to 15:50 we had 12.9mm of rain and it has just started raining again. now up to 14.5mm for the day so far, max wind gust at 29.5kts at 16:22, currently 10,6kts 10min ave from WNW at 10.3ºC.

How come the other fire is not lit already? Hmmm, something for me to do now I'm home!
