| Re: Auckland Tornado 3rd July 2008 I don't really know much about the weather but from what I have seen I think you're all right about it being straight line winds rather than a tornado. The olive tree is on the other side of the house to where the pots are and they were both blown over in the same direction. I checked across the park in the direction the plants at our house indicate the wind was blowing and there is a ton of debri from a belt of trees but the debri is spread only on the leeward side.  |
