Looks like a chilly day for you, Papakai. Are any roads closed? I ask, because, once the SH1 and central NI roads close our SH3, through Taranaki, can get clogged up with through traffic.

Temp 0.4 degrees Snow 2.5cm windchill -2.2. Desert Road closed last night and I can't check on others at moment as aaroadwatch website is down.

Light sprinkling on Port Hills (probably from last night's light rain) above about 300m. More to come according to forecasts.
Taihape about 400m asl? Wouldn't be surprising if snow levels in central NI drop below 500m today. Taupo is only expected to reach 6C.

My neice just txt me from Palmerston North and reckoned it was snowing there!
Gotten cold in New Plymouth but still sunny.

Variable cloud with odd showers, and some sleet about 12.10. Brighter skies now. Obviously a very cold airmass above, doesn't feel very cold outside. No wind at all, I think it is slight SSW drift overhead.
