Please post your weather reports for 5th July 2008.

You don't need fancy equipment to participate, a look out of the window will be just fine, although if you want to post a detailed snapshot, then please go ahead.

Right- bit late this morning- anyway- 8.30am, Dry, cloudy, not much Sun, cold- it is only 7 degrees. Westerly, around 10 km/h. It was 48 km/hr at the airport earlier

Cloudy with odd showers and some sleet, with little or no wind, in the morning (prob. SSW), fine clear interfrontal conditions from about 1pm with blue skies, zero wind and mild in the sun - probably our favourite WSW. Not looking forward to what's promised for later.

Dropped down to around 4.5 degrees about 1pm as hail slowly fell. I took a pix looking northwards will post.

The wind has just turned from NW to South over about 20 mins and the temp dived from 5 to 1.6 inside the same time interval, then it was sleet for a minute then hail for 15 or so and then it started snowing gently but stopped. Started again... rare to have snow falling in Tokoroa, but then after midnight who is to know?

After this shot was taken, it got quite a lot whiter and heavier cover, but the kids destroyed it by sweeping it off the bonnet to gather and throw!!

The wind has dropped to nothing. and now the sun is out again! More to come I think.
