 Weather reports for July 22nd, 2008 8am reports: New Plymouth: (city)NE 17 km/hr, 13 degrees. Rain on and off. No sign of forecast NW. Cape Egmont: N 44 km/hr , gusting to 59 km/hr Airport was 32 km/hr, NE, at 6am.  |

Wind Dircn: NN-Easterly Sky Condition - Overcast, visibility: 500m with rain, or 1km. Baro: 1011.5; -2.7hPa /6hrs, steadily falling. As the Low approaches, the NNE will turn to the NW. Still mild.

| Re: Deep Tasman Low Tuesday onwards 22 July 2008 So far winds are pretty ordinary and have dropped as the Sun has come out. 28 km/hr at Cape Egmont, 12 km/hr in town. Airport reported 41km/hr at noon. |

| Re: Weather reports for July 22nd, 2008 Breezy here in Avalon in the Hutt Valley, cloudy with bits of the blue stuff. Just waiting for the strong winds and heavy rain to arrive. There was some heavy rain here about 10.30 am |

| Re: Weather reports for July 22nd, 2008 Raining steadily from 9am onwards, just lightly but almost continuously. Almost 3/4" now, winds have been up and down a bit, max gust of 25kts at 17:30 and current 10min ave of 12kts. Steady at NNW, Baro still dropping at 1004hPa.
