Re: Weather reports for July 23rd, 2008 Southerly arrived through here at about 3:30pm, and it's been raining since, with the odd clap of thunder still. Pressure at the time was about 992mb and rising, but I suspect that was about the centre of the low, going by where it was tracking

Re: Weather reports for July 23rd, 2008 Came across this on the stuff website: Wild weather closes SH1 north of Wellington A couple of pretty pictures. Thought of going for a drive out that way. The car needs a bit of a wash after all the lousy weather we have been having

Re: Weather reports for July 23rd, 2008 That's good sea stuff. You have inspired me to go down to the coastal walkway in the morning where I will take some pix.

Re: Weather reports for July 23rd, 2008 (Courtesy of Metservice) MTD rainfall figures to 9am today: Auckland: 99.8mm New Plymouth: 162mm Wellington: 135.4mm Invercargill: 31.2mm North Islanders - please send some of those lovely rains our way! Sounds like July will be quite a wet month with more rain/showers to come. Wonder what the sunshine totals are so far? Seeing the forecast for Wellington and Nelson - such contrasts with rain for the former and sunshine for the latter.
