| This covers the first 2 months: Mean Daily Maximum: -30 degrees C Mean Daily Minimum: -80 degrees C Winds: Southerly during the day, Easterly at night Mean wind speed: 14.4 km/hr Pressure: trending down: from 8.5 mb to 7.85mb (Needless to say, no rain!) | Re: Summary of weather reports for Mars, Sols 1-63 Yeh, the probe had to land where the chance of it accessing ice was highly likely. Equator is much warmer, relatively speaking...I need to check to get you proper figures- from memory it can rise over zero degrees C each day but dive down another 50 degrees at night. Also, the point of measurement is critical. A person standing there may find their feet around 15 degrees, their head at close to zero! Mind you, they would be dead before the difference much bothered them! |
