Well.....this topic is going to appear initially a bit on the deep side or even in this category !! But.....being the brave soul that I (sometimes) am, I'll give it a try.

Firstly, as I've gotten older and sought out what I felt I needed to know about what was going on around me....in order to make some deep sense of things.....I've realised with conviction, that explanations for many things are often based on narrowed focus and compartmentalized thinking (as I see it at least); the 'micro' (if you like) becomes elevated to prominence.....and the 'macro' (or dare I say, bigger picture) often sinks beneath the horizon...you know, "the tree explains the forest" kind of thinking.

And.....I've realised that cause and effect are often more complex than we initially think. So having said that, I'd much like to recommend another really interesting website for everyones rainy night browsing: It goes by the name of Etheric.com and is owned by a prominent astro-physicist, Paul Laviolette. I've deliberately avoided inserting a link here as it always ends up too wordy in the preview....but will put it in the links page. He made a series of predictions in science journals, all of which were (sometimes begrudgingly) vindicated by his peers, and this forms part of his credentials.

He discusses the effect (amongst other things) that incoming clouds of cosmic dust may have on the heating of the sun and what effect this may have on our own immediate environment.....and apologies to RWood as this borders on the global warming debate issue....which I said I would avoid on the forum (I will try!).

In short, its not my intention in the least to focus on global warming.....as it it is my intention to direct everyones attention to a source of info which while pertinent and interesting, may just broaden our understanding of a much larger issue at stake than even global warming on planet Earth.

But all global warming aside, Pauls website is a very interesting read, and is written for a broad audience. You can also download some free mp3 recordings of interviews which he has given. If anyone has read through his material, and maybe listened to his interviews, It'd be interesting to hear your views on what he had to say.

Ken.
