I was (partly) right number not due to be ported 'til the 11th, they refused the initial request!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be glad to be rid of them

According to the NZ Number Portability rules a telco is not allowed to refuse an out port request (but they can refuse an in port request). The out port telco is also not allowed to try and persuade or entice the customer to remain with them.

I believe there is also a max time allowed - I thought it was 24 or 48 hours but not really certain on that aspect.
