IE8 is now out in beta form, so I thought we could look at the benefits and problems around its release.

I uninstalled! Didn't use it for very long.
OK- it had a nice feel about it, once I got the menu bar back. Seemed quite fast for a Beta. However it wouldn't render NZ Weather's Home Page properly. The maps and chat seemed to be on top of each other.
Yes, I guess I could have tried fiddling with the advanced options, perhaps.
Generally, it feels like IE7.
Now there is a IE7 button and this makes it behave like IE7, it says. You click it and then have to restart IE8.
This made no difference to the pages I then went and looked at.
It is for developers, I think, rather than "type and peck" players like me.
Might try it again, later.

FIREFOX 3 is worth running, been running it 3 days now and its sweet. a few clicks up on IE7 and i am IE7 stalwart.
