Please post your extremes for Tuesday 9th March in this thread. You will need a weather station or other instruments to take part. Contributions can be added until midnight the following day, after which the data will be collated and reported back in the Daily Records thread in this forum, giving details where the days extremes were and who recorded them.

You can copy and paste the following list in to your post, and just add the relevant numbers that you are able to. For the purposes of consistency, data should be from 00:00 to 23:59 on the date in question.

Temperature High =
Temperature Low =
Rain Total mm =
Rain Rate (max) =
Average Wind = (please note this is your highest 10 minute average)
High Wind Gust =
Wind Run km =
Barometric Pressure High =
Barometric Pressure Low =

Rain Rate (max) = -
Average Wind = 10.1 according to Cumulus, 17.1 according to WD even though both are set to 10 minute average. True value is 10.1 of course as the other figure is too high to be a 10min average ;)

Wind Run km = 60.9
Barometric Pressure High = 1015.6
Barometric Pressure Low =1017.7

For tokoroa on Tuesday 9th March

Temperature High = 26.1ºC
Temperature Low = 11.8ºC
Rain Total mm = 0mm
Rain Rate (max) = --
Average Wind = 17.0km/h (1min average)
High Wind Gust = 21.2km/h (corrected... typo)
Wind Run km =79.6km
Barometric Pressure High =1019.4hPa
Barometric Pressure Low = 1017.3hPa

Graeme
High Ave Windspeed still to be debated...

OK - Confirmed, the graph can be selected to be centre line as 10min average, but max average windspeed is reported in WD as 1min average.
SO I will go back to graphs tonight to get the 10min average high for the day.

Hi Derek,

I'm not ignoring you, but I am holding off posting data at the moment. Several reasons:

1) I need to verify my temps a certain times of the day
2) Average wind speeds - software variants. WD does it over the last 12 hours, I think Cumulus does it over 24 and there is the 1 minute 10 minute issues to try to standardise.
3) I cant get some of the data I need so that its all in one spot, so need to verify across several webpages or from the main software itself.
4) I'm getting down time while I establish my permanent settings. Still deciding what software to go with etc.

This is just specific to me and shouldn't prevent others from joining in, but I do want my data to be correct when its used ;)

Thanks Grant, you are certainly putting the effort in to ensure the validity of your data. ;)
