NZ Weather Reports and Watches

Reports: Are for current instrument or visual ground observations from any New Zealand location
Watch: is for a future weather event of special interest. ie thunderstorm, temperature, wind etc for any New Zealand location.
Anyone can create a thread but please use the above prefix and include the date in full ie REPORTS: NZ Weather reports 1st January 2010 or WATCH: NZ High Temperatures 15th October 2009. The first line of the first post should also include the same information. Please include a location

Looks like this could be the cell responsible for the current storm tracker results

Thanks Phil, it didn't really hit here but the wind intensified some by 16:50 and had temps go from 21.8deg at 15:22 steadily down to 1.8deg this morning. Just nice fair weather cumulus clouds.

You can leave Alkaline batteries in your units and the data will keep flowing even when the power goes off to the power pack plugged into the display unit (console).
