NZ Metar stations

OK there are the obvious airport METAR
CHCH, Welly and Auckl but are there any more that are publically available?

I download NZWP (Whenuapai AirForce) & NZOH (Ohakea AirForce) but neither seem to update regularly.
Currently NZWP METAR is dated 3 June and NZOH 16 June

Unfortunately most of those do not have an AAAA type name and so no files of that type exist to download with WD. Even Hamilton airport or Taupo don't...

They are the Airport codes for NZ - I can't guarantee that all will have Metar feeds on them, or how regularly they are updated, as I haven't tested them. Could well be a starting point though.

There was a better list somewhere else I had, but it seems to have dropped off into the ether somewhere

I'll try .txt in lower case... HMMM DOESN'T ALLOW THAT.

Tried HZHN for Hamilton and still no go...

Can someone tell me the difference between SYNOPS and METAR data please and how it is decoded? There is plenty of SYNOPS data for NZ but hardly any METAR available for the Weather-Display program to grab and use. WxSim finds the SYNOPS and uses it.

Sorry - can't remember where in WD I have these set up so can't test them easily, but they are set up as NZWN, NZCH, NZAK etc, so would assume from that it's NZHN. Does that work?
