Arrow Rain radar images

I have a query- excuse my ignorance here- but sometimes the radar shows a concentration of possible precipitation just on the coastline, somewhat north of me yet all seems quite clear from my point of view.
9am this morning was quite pleasant and sunny.

I've noticed there is quite a delay in the "free" service. Many of the UK free services offer 15 minute delays. Is there anything like that available for NZ?

I do notice that there seems to be one or other of the radars down so there is only partial coverage at times. Auckland was out for a bit. New Plymouth, ditto.

Just when folks need it, it has broken down!! And they can't repair it until the storm is over - seems a little ironic...

Aaaghh everything stalled and Refresh punched it out again so duplicated... and there is no [Kill] functionality in the posts to do a clean up. Oh well...

Seems very similar to our Environment Agency. They stop the RSS feed with flood status warnings because the website gets too busy
