Nice sunrise but despite that we got a short burst of hail. Eleven degrees. WSW wind.

A few showers around here, had a heavy 7mm shower after 1.10am, where 6mm fell in 10 minutes. Got down to 9.4C overnight. WSW winds - max gust so far was 39km/h at 6am.

Only forecast for a 16C high today

It not much of a day temperature wise! I think 15 degrees will be it here. Warm in the sun though.

Tokoroa - very mixed bag! Cloudy and wet to start with a 2mm rain after 7am and then another 0.5mm since, but now the sky has partly cleared, although a black bank of cloud exists here at the mill to the SW steadily to move over this region. The winds at home are Westerly while 10km to the South away here at the mill it is SW. Running at between 18 and 32km/hr. Only 11.9ºC max so far.

Pristine morning for flight down from Auckland, terrific views of city. Southerly clouds may hinder drying the washing backlog....

Welcome back home to reality in NZ RWood! Sorry - that's a bit mean, but you saw it coming. Don't get into depression, it does no-one any good... At least it is clean air and fresh at that.

Sunny day, though a coolish breeze kept temperatures to around 16 degrees. The sun has some burning power in it now though.
